Give to Get – Content Creation Philosophy
I am going to keep making videos for these posts as they are fun and I hope useful. Today I am talking about content creation and the concept of Give to Get. If you want your blogs to produce clients then you need to create material that gives the users something. This shows you have expertise and an answer to their problem, which will result in them calling you for your services.

Search Engines are not Static
I have been involved in Search Engine Optimization for over 10 years now and one concept that clients continue to struggle with is that Search Engines and the Web are in a constant state of change. Instead of this view most clients look at SEO work as the same that they used to look at the Yellow Pages where they paid a rate and their advertisement showed up on its page.
A shift in thinking needs to occur here for a few reasons:
- Ranking on the first page today does not guarantee tomorrow

What is Duplicate Content?
In a lot of SEO conversations I hear these days someone always brings up Duplicate Content and that you should be warning your children not to play with it amongst other things. They will have you pay them to fix your CMS so that you aren’t generating multiple URL’s with the same content and other things that I block from my hearing so that I don’t become insane. The fact is that Duplicate Content is overhyped as an issue and is only something to be concerned with if you are going to do nefarious things with it such as: copy someone else’s web page because you are too lazy to write original content, create duplicate websites with the same content thinking this will boost your SERPs, or planning to have Chuck Norris murdered(this is laughable just to type BTW).

Link Building 101 – Page-Rank
In 1998 a couple of Grad students at Stanford created the beginnings of what would become Google. Larry Page and Sergey Brin were working on a project that would allow researchers to utilize the World Wide Web in a more effecient method. What they created would eventually take over the Web and change marketing forever.

Choosing a Search Engine Optimization consultant
Unless you have been under a rock for the last 10 years you have heard of the Internet. There is also a good chance that you have heard of Search Engine Optimization also known as SEO, but I am sure that your concept of SEO is probably different from almost everyone elses. This is mainly an education thing and it is also an industry thing. Like all new industries SEO has experienced a lot of growing pains as its use and importance has skyrocketed.
